Day 13: Growing Like Weeds
(May 25, 2005)

This is Kozmo Kirby. As you can see, he is growing like a weed.

"Did you just call me a weed, Grandma?"

Oh no, Kozmo Kirby. I was just telling folks how BIG you are.

"I'll show 'em, Grandma."

"This is how big I am. See everybody?"
Very good, Kozmo. You are sure growing fast.

What're you looking at, Miss Murphy?

"It's a crow. It's not a hawk."

Good eye, Georgie.

Kozmo, you are starting to get tail feathers!

"I have tail feathers too!"
Yes you do, Bingo Baloo.

"And look, Grandma... I'm big too!"
Yes you are, Bingo. Very nice stretch.

"I'm diving now."

Miss Murphy and Bingo Baloo are synchronized duckies lately.

They do nearly everything in sync.

See?

"Hold on, I have a scratch."

"Look, Grandma! I'm big too!"
Very big, Miss Murphy.

You are becoming a biter duck like your daddy, too.

"Mom says it's time for a nap, Grandma. See you laters!"

Sweet dreams, big duckies.

In other news...

Our friends Belina & Hoss had baby chicks recently.

Congratulations, Hoss.

You have a beautiful family, Belina.

We also received an email from Rowdy & human Barb from Northern California.
Hope your leg is doing better now, Rowdy!

And we got an email from our friend Nicholas Cockervich Nobarkoff,
who calls us "The Lady of Slippers & French Fries"

Lastly, we may be adding a new member to our OWN family soon.
This is Riley the Shepshund or Dachsherd?

She is 8-years-old and in need of a home.
We will be meeting her on Sunday to make sure she's not a duck-eater,
and to make sure Flapper is not a dog-biter.
If all goes well, Riley will hopefully join the family.

(Now I can already hear some of you saying "what? another animal?" So just take a deep breath and
count how many animals and humans you have in your own home. This will only be #6 total for me because
the ducklings are going to a new home in another week or so... more news on that development to follow).
