A Duckling Morning
(August 26, 2005)
![]() |
Good morning, Georgie. How are you and the ducklings getting along now?
![]() |
Well...
![]() |
I still have to pull out their feathers now and then, when they get out of line.
![]() |
But... I like having them around.
![]() |
DID YOU HEAR WHAT MOM JUST SAID?
![]() |
(KOZMO) DO YOU THINK SHE REALLY MEANS IT?
![]() |
(MISS MURPHY)YAY! SHE LIKES US! SHE REALLY LIKES US!
![]() |
I knew she would, Miss Murphy. You're all very likable.
She just needed time to adjust.
![]() |
"Yeah, they're good kids. And they're our kids. What's not to like?"
Good point, Flappaccino.
![]() |
The ducklings are doing great after being home for a few days.
They enjoy walking around the deck.
![]() |
Here Kozmo Kirby impersonates the duck crossing sign. Very good impression, Kozmo.
![]() |
(KOZMO) THANKS GRAM!
![]() |
(BINGO) DIDN'T THIS POOL USED TO BE BIGGER?
Sorry Bingo. The pool is the same size. It's YOU who has grown bigger.
(The ducklings prefer to crowd into the smaller pool rather than use the new larger pool.)
![]() |
Here Bingo Baloo takes flight.
![]() |
And Kozmo Kirby follows. In this shot, you can see his black back and his big 'ol wings.
(When he is standing normally, his wings cover most of his back.)
![]() |
This is a good shot of Kozmo's toupe, and you can see he's getting a bit of a muscovy mask on his beak.
![]() |
Bingo's toupe pokes up in a nice crest when she stands at attention.
Her beak looks dirty, but it's just speckley. She might get a bit of a muscovy mask too. Time will tell.

The end.
:: stay tuned ::
