Caruncle Reading
Hi O’Malley.

“Hi Mom, what’s up?”
Well I was admiring your caruncle, and I wondered if you’d like a caruncle reading.

“Really? That sounds intriguing. Let’s try it.”
Okay, O’Malley. Let me get a closer look.

Hmmm interesting.

“What? What is it? Do you see something?”
Well… hmm. Yes. Yes I do.

“What? What does it say?”
Okay, let’s see. Well this line here? This is your love line. It’s on the right side of your face, so it represents everything you do to find love. It’s pretty strong.

“Strong? That’s good, right?”
And this line… This one here is your jealousy line. This one is very long.

“I do not get jealous! That must be wrong!”
Do you want a reading or not? Are you going to listen?

“Yes I will listen. Let’s try again.”
Okay. This line here is your sensitivity line. It shows that you are a very sensitive duck. Sometimes that means you can get your feelings hurt. So you need to be careful not to let things bother you too much.

“That makes sense. I take myself too seriously sometimes.”
This here? This is just some dirt or a booger or something.

“Ha ha ha ha! You’re funny, Mom.”
This one is your humor line. You have a good sense of humor and can appreciate funny jokes.

“Are you just saying that because I laugh at your jokes?”
No. But I do like that about you. This line? This is your health line. It is on the left side of your face which means you were born and destined to be healthy. It starts out small but goes for a long time.

“I had a rough start, but then I met you.”
Let’s see what else I can find. Oh. Your nubbin. You have a good-sized nubbin. That indicates that you thrive in water and are an earth personality. You could be good at things like psychology or politics, and you appreciate the beauty that surrounds you.

“Oh yes. That sounds like me.”
Overall, your caruncle shows you are a complex and complicated duck. It shows you are kind and loyal, but sometimes hot-headed and prone to fits of anger.

“I know. I need to work on that.”
It’s best for you to learn to lighten up so you don’t get too cranky. You make a great friend to your fellow ducks. And people find you very sweet and likable, but sometimes you can be a bit gullible. You should try to just be yourself and don’t worry too much about anything.

“That’s good advice, Mom. Thanks for the caruncle reading. I learned a lot.”
“Will you read MY caruncle now, Mom? Mom. Will you?”

Um… Chewy? Why don’t we just eat some peas.

what handsome boys you have. Chewy has such a nice drake feather! Hubba Hubba,
OOh Malley had a caruncle reading from Madame Tiffany!! You know they are much more trust worthy than hand readings or horoscopes! You are a good boy O’Malley, and I think I knew that already, but it’s nice that we now have scientific evidence that you are:-)
Wonderful series of pictures and story Tiff.
Poor Chewy, but I think you could also tell a lot by the stripes on his feet:-)
Tiff, I think you could tell a lot about all the ducks by their beak spots! Or, foot stripeys!
I loved this webisode. More, more, more!! What’s the Flapmaster up to lately? And Georgie? And Toony and…I forgot the name of the other ’scovy girl, see it’s been too long! More, more, more!!!
Cathy: There’s a Flapper update on the main blog page right under O’Malley’s caruncle episode.

As for the girls… they are in a nearby home where we see them often. Long story. Has to do with someone on the East coast telling the City of Seattle we were over the legal limit for ducks. You probably know her. The whackjob one. So now we have the legal limit.
Caruncle: there’s a new word for me. Might come in handy in a crossword puzzle sometime.
Ladies do love a man with a good sense of humor, O’Malley. Kindness and loyalty go a long way, too. And I sympathize with being too sensitive sometimes. Overall you’re a dreamboat.
And Chewy–I LOVE the black, curly drake feathers. Very masculine.
love you dewey; love you O’Malley
