Max’s Caruncle Reading
Ooooooh’Malley? We got some photos from Max in Oklahoma. He saw your caruncle reading from a few weeks ago, and he has asked us to do a reading of his caruncle now. What do you think?

“Oh this is very exciting! I was hoping someone would ask us to perform a reading. Let me get in the right frame of mind. Could you light some insense?”
Ha ha, insense? Okay, O’Malley. You got it. I will light some insense and make a quiet space for us to give Max his caruncle reading.
Ohm. Ooooohm. Ooooreo McFlurry (that’s my meditation phrase).
Okay. Here’s the first photo of Max, O’Malley:

“Oh he is a good-looking drake like myself I see.”
Yes he is, O’Malley. Should we start the reading?
“Definitely. You start.”
Okay. Well Max? You have a very even, healthy caruncle. The two creases in front of your eye point straight down, instead of towards your eye. This tells us you are well-grounded and down to earth.
“Yeah good one. Tell him about his freckles.”
Okay, good. Yes. Your freckles are the black marks on your caruncle just under your eye, Max. Because these are on the right side, they indicate you value the truth, and place a high value on trust. You look ducks right in the eye and expect the same right back.
“Should we mention his nubbin?”
Oh definitely, O’Malley. How could we not? Max, your nubbin is pretty big. This shows your capacity for kindness and compassion. You are a good egg, Max.
Now let’s move on to the left side.

Hmmm. This is very, very interesting.
“What? What is it? What do you see?”
Well Max’s caruncle is very similar on the left and right sides, O’Malley. That means he is very well balanced. His caruncle suggests he is even-tempered… even if he didn’t used to be that way. Max thrives on routine, and likes it when he gets his treats at the same time every day.
“Oh I like that, too.”
The left side also shows no strong downward creases in front of his eye. That means that while Max is grounded, he also has a flair for the creative and can be open to new ideas. I’ll bet Max has some creative hobbies or creative friends he hangs out with on the pond.
“That was pretty insightful. I hope Max likes his reading.”
Me too, O’Malley. Thanks for your help. Overall I think Max’s caruncle shows he has a depth and balance that is uncommon. Those strengths probably make him a good listener. He would excel as a guidance counselor or a manager, but he should be careful not to let the other ducks talk his ears off.
Thanks for sending the photos, Max. All the best from O’Malley’s Caruncle Reading Service in Seattle!

Ha ha ha, I see you in a dark room with the insense, your crystal egg helps ofcourse (to detect hidden treasures under Max’ caruncles;-) Priceless, Max appears to be a model scovie! He’s also very handsome and looks like a long distance relative of Malley!
Hahah! That’s awesome!
I like the oreo mcflury meditation phrase.. LOL I am sure Angela would too!
Can’t wait to see Max as a manager, though!
I like my treats at the same time each day, too! And I love a man with freckles! Max is my kind of guy.
(Still love ya too, O’Malley.)
Great reading Malley! You make me wish I had caruncles for you to read.
Max is a hottie! (Sorry Flapper)
Love Miss Matilda
Wow, I have to go outside and find Max to tell him about his reading. He will be so excited – I expect major mohawk-raising. He is the manager of my pond. Whenever a new duck arrives, Max is in charge of the welcoming committee. He huffs and wags at them until they are hypnotized and relaxed. He also certainly provides much counsel to me with his big gentle calm and kind brown eyes. He is honored to be included in Flapper and O’Malley’s blog!
good article max looks like an funny ducky
Even his freckles are symmetrical on both sides!
Max looks a little older that O’Malley… is this correct? His eyes look a bit more mature, and the hair looks more natural. (O’Malley’s hair looks like he took care to put gel in it every morning to impress the ladies).
Actually, Max is younger – he’s less than a year old. I got him from the rehabber last Nov. and he was only a couple of months old then. He appreciates everyone’s kind words! (He’d be happy to have Miss Matilda come visit any time!)
In the first photo, Max’s crest looks very Elvis-like. Just love those Muscovies!
hey he looks just like a nice ducky so i know hes a boy lol he very cute!
