Frank is good to go!
Got a call from Dr. Ford.
He gave me more info on Frank’s blood test results.
It’s good news!
At Frank’s first appointment after his rescue, his WBC was 28.
After a round of piperacillin antibiotics, it actually went way up to 43!
But now, after a round of cephalexin, it’s down to 18.
Normal range is 6-11, but ducks tend to run a bit higher than that.
So Frank is all good to go!
He’ll need regular check-ups like any duck, and his forever home will need to keep an eye on his right leg, but he is cleared to head to his forever home.
Yay, Frank! Good work, buddy. No wonder you’ve turned into a crank-o-saur!
Thanks again to everyone who helped Frank by donating to the Kozmo Kirby Memorial Fund. You are all good, good eggs.

And a job well done, Tiff, for helping this great critter.
That’s terrific. Best of luck, Frank!
Where is it that Frank the Tank will be going? his forever home?
Yes, I hope he will be going to his forever home this weekend. I need to make sure they’re ready for him first though.
I thouht I had reacted already:-/
Good news all around on Frank! You’re ready for the next step now that your leg is completely better and your blood count sounds good. I hate to see you go buddy, eventhough you weren’t nice to Malley all the time, you were a good boy, and the perfect pilot;-) I hope you’ll have a long, happy and healthy life.
