Flapper the Snuggler
Flapper hangs out with me in the yard and thinks about taking a nap. This video might be boring for most people, but it’s a pretty good example of our conversations. I talk, he goes “bwaaaah” back. It’s his “I like you, too” sound.
Flapper’s a good conversationalist.

Ha, Tuwee does this too.. Whenever he is done biting the hell out of me.
That’s so cute!
That’s so sweet…
I think you can discern ‘I like you’ in his vocalizations. He’s such a sweetheart!
Ahhhh who could ever tire of the language of love?……Flapper shows his devotion with every move….the “bwaaaah” is the music to go with his gentle gestures of comfort and thankfulness for guess who? MOM!
I just love your movies-I used to love relaxing like that with my duckie. So peaceful.
Thanks so much Tiff for this lovely, heartwarming video. I have always wanted to hear Flapper talk and here it is. He has such a range of expressions given that he is vocally capable of only a few words. You can tell when he wanted you to stop bothering him vs. when he wants to he keep cuddling him just when he was getting comfy. Flapper knows what he wants and when he wants it. What a sweetie pie, you are so lucky to have his love and devotion.
That was great. I smiled through the whole video and had some good laughs too. When he says “bawaaah” he doesn’t even open his mouth, I mean beak. It like comes from his throat. I love ducks. They are just so cool.
not boring at all.
that is so cool that he doesn’t have to open his beak to make bwaaaah sounds.
reminds me of my conversations with my kitty – same discussion, just different noises.
flapper’s so cute. mmmmm snuggles
Flappy Snugglepuss is lucky to have such a wonderful mom, and mom is lucky to have Flappy. I wish everyone who thinks of ducks as food, or as shooting targets, could watch this video and learn from it.
Tiff, you should put “Pekin” on your resume under “Languages Spoken.”
Awe! That is precious!
