I’m so sad over this. She was so loving towards her ducks and geese. I’ve always enjoyed seeing and reading about her flock on her website.
My condolences to Alan and family.
We are all so sad to hear this awful news. We will miss Nancy so much. She was a wonderful woman with a heart of gold. If it were not for her we would not be able to have Stuart living indoors. We send our condolences to Alan during this hard time.
Pringles is sad, geese everywhere lost a friend.
Pringles was able to come inside thanks to the Diaper too : ( even if he hated wearing it and now hates being inside.
So sorry to learn of Nancy’s passing. She did a wonderful job helping people to recognize the personalities behind the feathers.
We are sadden by the news. Because of the diapers Kalele is able to be inside and be my big baby. Kalele doesn’t mind wearing his diaper most of the time because he knows he gets to be inside watching TV, hanging out watching me, surfing the internet and gets to go for car rides (AKA go get french fries). Kalele also gets to hang out being a naked duck too.
Alan, I’m so sorry for your loss…..and I’m sorry for ours. She’s always been such a patient and willing resource for out community of waterfowl friends. Rouba and I are deeply saddened and will hold you and yours in our prayers.
My condolences to the family of this special lady. What a neat lady. So sad to hear of her passing.
Yes our leader will greatly be missed. She never failed to call me at home if I had trouble with Nibbles, whether it was a simple diaper problem or when Nibbles nearly lost her life this past Christmas Nancy called to check. I will miss going to see her at the fair in Fairburn. I know she was in great pain and she still went to the fair to play Mother Goose and teach the children and adults the joy of loving a duck or goose. She was my friend and I am saddened by her passing. God be with you and may she find St. Francis in heaven and her precious feathered children waiting by his side.
came back to watch the video–didn’t have time this am. why?
I’m sorry to hear about your friend. I’m thinking of her and her family, feathered and human.
I would like to send my condolences to her husband and family. I spoke to her so recently, I would have never thought anything, she was so upbeat. She loved what she did and was so helpful to us. I know her spirit will still be here with all of us and her feathered friends.
My deepest sympathy to Alan and family. Nancy was a great lady – with a love for people and our feathered friends. I learned a lot from her. She will be greatly missed.
I am so shocked and saddened to see that Nancy has passed. She gave me ideas how to introduce my new cat to my beloved Ungyung. She also scolded me quite a bit for spoiling him. I truly owe her a debt of gratitude. She was always willing to talk to me as long as I needed. My world just got a little dimmer to find that she is no longer in it.
I am deeply saddened to learn of Nancy’s passing. I had hoped to one day be able to meet her. We spoke on the phone a few times through the years and her book “Duck, There’s a Goose in the House” made it so much easier for me to understand the nature of geese and her compassionate and thoughtful commitment to these highly misunderstood waterfowl was a boon to the planet.
She will be greatly missed. My condolences to Alan and family. What a gal!
I knew Nancy when I was very young and often played with her and Allens duck Matilda (its one of my fondest memories). They had been great family friends of my parents. Though I had not seen her in many years I was heart broken to hear of her passing. But she was a great woman and is missed dearly.
