Flapper’s 2nd Anti-Foie Gras Demonstration

Flapper attended his 2nd demonstration against foie gras on Friday night.

He did really well, again, and seemed to enjoy himself quite a bit.

He met quite a few new people, including restaurant patrons and fellow demonstrators.

And he still saved time for water and treats.

This kid riding by on a bike with his dad was pretty surprised to see a duck. He had a huge smile after meeting Flapper.

Several people who went into the restaurant stopped to say hello to Flapper. And several stopped by on their way out as well.
Flapper seems to think demonstration time is our quality time together, so I think that’s why he likes it so much. He finally has me all to himself, without any other ducks around. He has treats, water, and everyone stops to talk to him and pet him.
That’s Flapper’s idea of a great Friday night.
And mine, too.

It is so wise of you to include those links. Has there been anything in the Seattle paper? Your signs are great… and there’s even a live duck! That’s newsworthy. The pictures are nice too. You are doing so much good with your life.
I love you Mr. Flapper!!
Mr Flapper looks so very handsome and happy. “All these people here to see ME? As it should be!”
I hope all those people realize that they just met the #1 celebrity duck!;-)
He looks like a natural, at ease and curious. Good work again, I hope the will finallly remove that suff from their menu.
That’s fantastic that Mr. Flapper is being so great at these demonstrations. He is definitely a celebrity duck. It won’t be long until the media comes to interview him! We’re all proud of you Mr Flapper!
A year or so ago, I didn’t even know what foie gras even was.. (In my defense, I’m from the Midwest.. and we don’t use big fancy words like that). Since learning, I’m 99.9% sure none of my friends or co-workers would ever order this (they know I just love duckies too much).
It’s all because of good eggs like you! Go Flapper GO!!!
Flappy is an unstoppable crusader! I suspect the peas had something to do with it, but still….
Way to go, Flappy, Tiff, and NARN!
You don’t realize how big Flappy is until he’s sitting on the silly human.
Boy, I had to do some catching up on your posted photos and articles. That Flapper is one great activist. We are all so proud of him. I’m glad that he is also beginning to share with his pool too. That aviary looks awesome. I wouldn’t mind trying out that pool myself and of course with the Flap.
Keep up the great work, Flapper!
You and flapper are doing a great thing!
i am curious about the reactions to the duck. any threats?
He is not “the duck,” human commenter person. He is Mr Flapper Duck. There are 5 other ducks at home so you need to specify Flapper, O’Malley, Chewy, Petunia, Sam or Lily.
No threats, except for when I threatened to help the blowhard force-feed himself so he could see what it’s like.
I should note, I only bring Flapper because he doesn’t mind. It doesn’t stress him out and I think he views it as his special quality time with me. The other ducks here would not enjoy a foie gras protest.
If any duck didn’t enjoy being at a protest, I’d personally consider that an “entertainment animal,” which is a no no.
