I cannot imagine ever, ever, EVER being with my Muffin. But if I knew she was in pain all the time, sometimes very bad but always, I think I would try to make the decision to let her go. I think the chickens recognize that Sunny isn't at 100% and definitely provide comfort to her. We are all still hoping for a better recovery for Sunny, at least to have less pain and more snuggle days and nights. At least you, Tif, have given Sunny some awesome days and enjoyment in her pool.
