Good Visitor

“Duck lady Marlys visited us today, all the way from Oklahoma. While I am a little afraid of strangers sometimes, I did let her hold me and I also let her feed me some Cheerios.”

“She even brought us some lettuce treats, which I think I will have for breakfast.”

“Chewy is normally pretty shy, but he let Marlys hold him and pet his beak. Then he ate some peas from her (he doesn’t like Cheerios like I do).”
That’s right, Flapper. We spent a nice evening with our friend Marlys who was in town for a conference. You may remember her from a previous blog post where we did a long-distance caruncle reading for her muscovy Max. Here is a link to that post:

Special thanks to Marlys for bringing great treats (for the ducks AND for the human). It was great to finally meet you in person and share stories. Come on back any time!

This looks like a nice visit! I think the kids must have sensed that Marlys is a good egg, Flapper and Chewy seem quite relaxed:-) It’s good to visit with fellow quack addicts, there’s so much to talk about. My time will come too, someday, hopefully.
Nice to meet you Marlys!
Is this the Marlys of DRN fame? Wow – double celebrity special blog issue!
No need to be afraid, Flapper. You are in good hands.
That is wonderful that the ducks got some extra treats and a new person to be around them for a bit of time. it’s nice our weather was cooperative too. My time will come soon enough to meet the Flap and others in person. I tell all my animal lover friends about the Mr. Flapper website, his stories, the rescues. When i turn my laptop on, the Flap website is the very first site i go to.
Oh, how nice to see pictures of a wonderful visit. I could talk with Flapper’s human all day – and getting to hold Flap and Chewy – well, that’s priceless!
Sounds like a great visit. How gracious of you, Flap, to allow yourself to be held and given treats.
I so want to go to Seattle to meet you and the other duckies, and of course, the human…. One of these days….
