What’s that?

“What’s that sound?”
I think the neighbor is mowing their lawn, Flapper.

“Did you hear that!?”
Yes I did, Chewy! I think the neighbor hit a rock with his lawnmower.

“I don’t think he should mow the rocks. They don’t sound like they want to be mowed.”
Ha ha. Good point, Chewy. I don’t think he meant to mow the rock.

“The rock probably snuck up on him.”
You could be right, Flapper.
What are you looking for, Racquel?

“I am looking for rocks! I don’t want to step on one. They make bad noises!”
I think they only make that noise when you mow them with the lawnmower, Racquel. I think it’s okay if you step on rocks.

“Maybe so, but I don’t think I’m going to risk it.”

“I would risk it. But only for Cheerios.”

“I think the neighbor is done mowing the rocks.”
And also the lawn. I think you’re right, Petunia.

“Tell him I hope no more rocks sneak up on him.”
Okay, Flapper. I’ll send him your good wishes.

“And now, back to my nap.”

“G’nite, mom.”
Goodnight, buster. Sweet dreams.

Rock and Roll at Casa del Flapper, ey?;-) I’m glad the peace and quiet is back so everyone can get their deserved beauty naps, they must have been exhausted from having to listen to that noise! Great story telling!
Rock and roll, ha ha yeah. They are very good neighbors. We just always perk up to stay alert when they are doing stuff in the yard.
Best neighborhood watch ever!
Flapper, did you hear the thunder Monday night? it was wild and right over Tukwila. Scared the bejeebees out of me for sure. I was shaking as badly as my cats were. I thought for sure we had been bombed and a transformer had been hit. it just hit once but that was enough. All the car alarms went off in my complex. We had hail too. Did that come down on you Flap Man?
Great blog. I really enjoyed all the wonderful photos.
Ha! I always love your narratives!! Flapper and crew are always so entertaining!
Flap, your Twitter today, about the sun drying up all the mud puddles. Don’t fret. Another storm is coming through on thursday and your mud puddles will be back – in mass.
Love you Flap and all your friends in Tiff’s backyard.
Gayle. I DID hear the thunder, but it didn’t scare me. You should have seen Simon though. I heard he was a big baby about it. Thanks for telling me about the sky sprinklers coming back on this Thursday.
How good to know and see that also you love ducks. I just discovered your blog and I am going to read it thorough later. I had a pet called Pipke, she was a white duck. I found her in a abandoned nest. Unfortunate she died on September 14 this year. She became 14 years and three months old. During her life we had to go to the vet 295 times. She was the sunshine in our life and the best that could happen to us. My aim is to tell her life story in my blog. What we experienced is unique and I want to share it with you. I published already many film pictures and pictures of her, I also told already a part of her story. If you want to know more about her I invite you to read my blog.
