Park Kids
These are some ducks we saw at the park. There are a few hybrids and domestics there, but they all seem in good health. They were hanging out with the coots, who have the best feet ever. I’ve never talked to the coots before, so that was fun.

The video worked great on the duck video. i love the ducks. The coots are such a ‘hoot’. they have the biggest feet for their little bodies. The Des Moines Marina – they no longer let us feed the ducks there and i use to purchase the grain they would eat to feed them well instead of bread. I so hate we can’t feed them there any more. I keep cat food in the trunk of my car too for strays.
I’m glad they’re doing well. Domestics and hybrids who live in parks are always a bit of a worry, eh?
Park-goers got a special treat that day: not only did they see ducks, but they saw the Crazy and Amazing Duck Lady in action!!
I love the little face on that mallard. She is sweet. Coots are cool too with thier toesies!
