Busy busy busy
Hello!
We’ve been a little quiet here at Flapper’s house, but rest assured, all is well. We’ve just gotten a little too busy for a few weeks.

Simon is feeling better after having a rash for a long time. He has new food, yet again, and new medication. It looks like this might help!

It’s nice to see him feeling well and enjoying the sun when it appears.

Racquel the chicken is feeling better after having a cold. She is even back to her daily singing.

A few weeks ago we had a fun, unexpected visitor to Flapper’s house. Rick here went to high school with us… TWENTY YEARS AGO. That was the last time we had seen him, but after a day of touring Seattle and catching up, it was as if no time had passed at all.

For the past week or so, we’ve been caring for this kid, Spunkie. She’s the neighbor’s cat. We feed her twice a day and watch her hide from us. She doesn’t like strangers. Hi Spunkie!

We’re also still in graduate school here… for just a few more courses. And readings like this one just about send us over the edge. Can’t wait ’til we’re done!
That’s about it for the updates from Flapper’s house. We’ll try to catch up again soon and share some new photos. The weather has been really rainy and windy, but maybe this weekend it will clear up.

Chewy, as always, sends his love.

Wow! Simon is one big cat! I knew that but… wow, he’s a lion! So did you go to school with Rick or was that Flapper? Send my love to Chewy, please.
Flapper is only 5-years-old so it must have been me in high school with Rick.
Wow your mister Flapper is huge and beautiful!
No wonder that you are busy, busy, but probably you have also much joy with so many little critters around you.
Have much fun with them.
I had a tortoiseshell cat named Spunkie. It fit her real well. Love the photos of Simon; Flapper on the lap. Our weather has been unreal that’s for sure but there is a pocket of no rain at present but another storm coming in. i think they have said it’s Storm No. 4.
Storm number 4??? Here in San Diego we haven’t had rain since February! We’re in stage 2 water rationing, all the hillsides are brown and dusty and keeping yards watered without violating the water rationing is getting hard. Please, please, send us some of that rain! Well, everything must be lush and green in Seattle, so try to enjoy that.
Umm… “lush and green” doesn’t begin to describe it. Every step I take on my lawn is a squishy, sliding pool of muddy mess. I can barely navigate the yard to care for the ducks. Everything is saturated beyond all belief.
If I could figure out how to send it to you, I would. For sure!
