The Better Nap
Hi Choo Choo. Are you settling in for a nap?
“Well… I don’t want to nap in here, but I don’t want the chickens to nap in here either.”
Hmm, that does seem like a problem, Chewy. I guess you have to decide what’s more important: A good nap, or protecting your nest? There also might be something better out there that you haven’t even considered yet.
“I didn’t think about it that way. I like that. I’m going to find something better.”
“Well all this deep thinking has made me sleepy. G’nite.”
Have a nice nap, Flapper.
“I’ll be right over here.”
Okay, Flappy.
Is that a better nap spot, Chewy?
“Mmmm I’m not sure. I can’t tell yet.”
How about there. Is that better?
“No. That’s my butt.”
Ha ha, good point, Chewy.
“This spot is pretty good here, but something still isn’t right.”
What’s not right? Are the chickens in your nest?
“No, it’s not that. I got it!”
“The best spot to nap isn’t in my nest or over by the pond. It’s with my best buddy.”

I noticed Omalley is very intent on watching them. Perhaps he wants to nap there too?
Pringles – O’Malley is a little bored now that Rex & Turk are gone. He would like to nap with us but he also would like to BITE US, so he has to nap with Petunia on the other side of the divider.
Great photos and story Chewy. I think it’s going to be very hard to have goodbye homes for those chickens. They have moved right in and they just seem to get along with everyone and the story line real well. LOL
I’m just headed to work after a sleepless night. I wish I were a duck.
