Racquel is Home

Racquel unfortunately mostly likely has congestive heart failure. This isn’t curable. She isn’t in pain or discomfort though, so today we brought her home to spend her remaining time with her feathered friends.

When I went to pick her up at the vet, I opened my wallet and turned around. When I turned back, Billy the cockatiel was trying to sneak a little extra, and he also ate the edges off my invoice. Nice try, Billy.

Racquel ate some corn and grass and looked for bugs. She is more tired than normal, so she has bursts of energy interspersed with naps. But she seems content and calm, and she has medications to keep her comfortable.
She’s a good muppet.

I’ve had my paperwork abused by that tiel!
Glad little Racquel is home to spend what ever time she has left in comfort. I know she’s happy to be home.
I’m glad Racquel is home with her feathered, furry and human friends.
Did Billy the cockatiel pay your invoice too? If he’s going to eat the edges, he might as well pay for the vet too. Makes sense to me. Racquel needs extra love, more applesauce, treats, and all the naps she can get in.
Glad she’s home!
Welcome home Racquel, I hope you will have many more peaceful days at Casa del Flapper:-)
“…bursts of energy interspersed with naps…” Sounds like an excellent plan!
Just for Racquel, we’ve scheduled sunny, warm weather for the next week. Enjoy!
Oh, that’s nothing. Peepers the Satanic Conure tore keys off our laptop keyboard. We had to bring the laptop to the Apple store to get the keyboard replaced. (Censored) bird.
Billy is awfully cute, though. The cute ones always get away with bad behavior, don’t they.
I’m glad that Racquel is not in pain. She couldn’t have asked for a better home than Casa del Flapper as she nears the end of life. I hope the karate muppet stays a while longer with you.
Hugs to all. Racquel is right where she should be, surrounded by love.
To be surrounded by people who love you…who could ask for any thing more …
Poor Racquel… peace
