Long Weekend
It was a long weekend in every sense of the word. I graduated, my parents were in town for my graduation, Racquel L’Oreal Chicken passed away, we had some long drives to go whale watching and all in all it was just way too busy for me.

Luckily the cure for a hectic, crazy weekend is very close by.
Thanks for the hugs, Flapper.
By the way, I am wearing my graduation cap and gown all week long, just to get the most out of this new Master of Public Administration degree. Yay for graduation!

Special thanks to everyone for the heartfelt well wishes on the passing of Racquel. It means a lot to me and everyone here at Flapper’s house.

I am so sorry to hear about Racquel. I have a sick hen I am afraid I can do nothing for. So frustrating when we can not help our little friends. But it warms my heart to know your Miss Racquel could not have found a better Mom.
Condolences,
Heidi and Flock
When I got my Associate’s degree, one of the senior class bum rushed the podium at the end of the ceremony and popped in a tape of the “Linus and Lucy” theme from the classic Peanuts cartoons. I’m proud to say this tradition was continued when I got my Bachelor’s degree.
Congrats on your graduation!
Congratulations on your master’s degree–an accomplishment like that definitely warrants wearing the cap and gown all week! I am at the very beginning of my master’s of social work program, and I look forward to the day that I finally get to put on that cap and gown myself!
It’s nice that you can come home at the end of a hectic week to duck hugs–I always tell people that duck hugs are the cure all for most of the stress and bad things that we must face in life (to which I usually get a funny look from most people, but I figure they just don’t know what they’re missing out on!)
So sorry again to hear about the passing of Racquel–she couldn’t have had a better home.
That picture of you and the Flapper is absolutely gorgeous.
Congratulations on your graduation! And again, I’m so sad for your Muppet’s passing.
Oh, Congrats on your Graduation!!!!
Thats Awesome..
I hope you got to see some whales, and I am so Sorry about Raquel..
At least she went in peace at home…. I cannot even begin to imagine it..
Don’t you look smug. I’ll bet your colleagues are thrilled with you this week.
Seriously, congrats. I don’t know how you managed to attain a master’s while working full time and taking care of a yard full of ducks and chickens.
Tif, so happy for you with your new degree. I would wear my cap and gown all weekend too. So happy for you and your backyard friends.
It will be exciting to see what new “barnyard bud” will become a part of your family this summer, rescue or pet. Hopefully it won’t be a visiting raccoon. LOL
Congratulations on your accomplishment!
Aww, poor little Raquel. She will be missed, but at least she went peacefully, surrounded by her family.
Congratulations on the Masters degree!! I’m currently working on my BBA; I can’t imagine how awesome it feels to have earned a Masters degree. Wonderful job and wear that gown with much pride. You’ve earned it!
*sends hugs to you and the rest of the gang*
This is good news and bad news. How sad that Racquel L’Oreal passed away. I wonder: was she sick or did she died suddenly. My condolences for your loss. I’m certain she had a very good and happy life on your yard.
Congratulations with your graduation!
As far as I know those graduation caps and gowns is something we don’t know here in Belgium. Actually it gives a graduation something extra special.
What a sweet picture of you and Flapper!
Please accept my apology!
I hadn’t read your previous post when I commented here.
