Ruthless Cornivores
This is a video of Petunia, Olly Astro and Janet enjoying their afternoon corn treats. That noise at the beginning is Petunia’s very happy sound. She loves corn treats.

Later, O’Malley thought he could get treats faster if he came inside and helped me get them from the refrigerator. His chicken posse followed along to back him up.

While the ducks and chickens enjoyed their treats, Simon sat with me and watched the little birds that fly into the yard. He knows he is not allowed to chase them, but he sure loves to watch them.

Then Flapper requested that I be his “Official Beak Holder” for his evening nap.

Of course I am more than happy to hold his beak. Anything for my buster.
Happy long weekend from Flapper and the whole motley crew.

I loved the video. I laughed and laughed at those “chikins” going to town eating the corn. Seems the whole family including Simon are all doing well. My cats love talking to the little birdies too from inside my home.
Toonie! I just love her little squeak. Could she be any cuter?
Beak-holding must get interesting when Flappy decides to blow birdie snot on your fingers.
Flapper has never blown birdie snot on my fingers. Do your conures do that? That doesn’t happen with ducks.
Naw, they just bite our fingers. Peepers bit my nose yesterday, and he looks apologetic, but I’ve learned not to turn my back on him too long.
On the other hand, Mariusz, our White Crested guinea pig, blows his nose appropriately at incredibly cheesy moments in movies. He’s not terribly fond of “The Omega Man.”
I’ve gotten a few wet breezes from Peepers’ blowholes.
