George has the most handsomest face. Great photos of Flapper too. Sounds like he is enjoying his French Fry tree too much. LOL

Hang in there George! I know it seems like it's going to be a while... If you ever want to commiserate about having foot surgery, I'm here. And also you Flapper with the arthritis. I know how painful and uncomfortable it is. I hope both guys feel better soon!

Billy is so cute.

I get that deep goose-honk cough every time I get sick. My colds always end in a honking cough that lasts for weeks. I hope yours goes away quickly. It's cute, though, that George honks back. .<3

Glad Flap and George are generally doing well.

We'll have to have Brad go out back and cough too! He's got a bad one - George will surely honk a bunch. Hork. Honk. Hork. Honk.

Jenny, Flapper had a granuloma tumor removed from his reproductive system . Scar tissue in ducks is kind of a solid, rubbery type of stuff, not a liquid/puss like in humans. The solid, rubbery stuff builds up and has to be cleaned off so it doesn't block his entire system and make it impossible for him to poop. He gets anesthesia for it and it doesn't seem to cause him much discomfort. He also has antibiotics for a week afterwards and pain/anti-inflammatories every day for his arthritis. How's that for too much information? http://mrflapper.com/blog/2008/08/15/flapper-update-3/

I am glad they are doing well!

Too bad George has to have a wrap for a while longer, but like you say, beter be safe than sorry and it's for the best in the long run. He'll get over it;-)
Bummer that it takes this long though.
Diets are hard to do, weight is a problem for arthritic hips but in all good for his overall health. It's difficult to find a balance.
Good luck with George and hooray for Flapper.

So glad both are doing well. Thanks for the update. What did Flapper have surgery for in the beginning?
