Flapper Fun

Flapper had some fun today, playing outside in the pool and splashing Petunia. George has decided the pool is HIS now, and he protects his AstroTurf, so he followed Flapper into the pool. Luckily he is a good goose, but Flapper was not about to share. So I had to kick George out until Flapper was done. Flapper is just about to start his 3rd month of heart medicine, and he seems to be feeling good. He definitely tires easily, but he is happy and stable and sweet as ever.
Flapper had a good time splashing, and then Lester Leroy came out for a quick swim as well.
Then George had his pool back, and spent some quality time with his AstroTurf.
On Tuesday, our chickie Olly Astro will have surgery. Also, Lester Leroy will go to the vet as well, for a recheck on his bone infection. Please send good thoughts for Olly. We hope the surgery goes smoothly. Fingers crossed!

Best wishes for Olly, she will be in good hands. I hope it will go smootly and she can enjoy the yard again. I can’t believe it’s two months already for Flapper’s medication, good to hear and see that he’s doing so well. Hopefully the vet will discover that Lester is on the mend too.
George is ready for love;-)
Snuggles is doing pretty well too, at the end of the day he feels well enough to crawl around his pen a little, and now Sieb and Saffy are inside he even ventures out of the pen for a short while. It’s back to being bitter cold in Holland.
I still haven’t clipped Felix wing, he’s really sweet and affectionate lately, once I clip him he will be scared of me for weeks and I hate that. Maybe he doesn’t have to be clipped at all, we’ve entered a new phase perhaps, but I might regret it. Things change all the time.
Best wishes for little Olly today.
Hmm, I think I may need to get some astro turf for a couple of bachelor ducks I have…
Gosh Tif, you’ll be lucky if you have any AstroTurf left over after Lester’s playing with it. I thought he was going in there to take a bath but it looks like he would rather fight/play with the turf. What a riot.
I hope they enjoy the snow we will be getting soon. so glad that Flap is feeling better.
Aw, George. You’re a great guy, but you need to work on your technique.
My best to Olly.
