Tif, you are missing a dog. I can't wait until your new ducks come on board. So glad that Ollie is doing well. Our weather is suppose to earm up too so that will be nice. No more frozen pools maybe for Flap and George.

I know how crazy that all feels but from the outside looking in (this time), it does look very cute. Like lots of friends gathered around for a sleepover. Hope you watched some movies, popped some corn, and did each others' hair. :-P Actually, not a bad idea - Olly could use a comb-over... and Lester has enough to braid...

Best of luck with the muscovies. It is often so darn hard to catch the ones who need to be caught! I'm so glad for my pet exercise pens - I've taken those things to all sorts of places when we go to catch ducks (or geese, but they really aren't strong enough to restrain geese so they just help slow them down). I hope these two are friendly enough to just walk into your arms! (and I hope they are girls so O'Malley won't have to beat anyone up!)

Yes, you need a little more fun to the madness here! I think there is nothing at all wrong with a bedroom full of birds and cats because they all look cozy and happy :) Well...Simon might not be super super happy *heh*

Thanks for the update and hearing Olly Astro cluck along.

Our house is a very very very fine house, with two ducks in my room, a hen and a cat too, and everything is cozy 'cause of you, lalalalallallaa:-)
I hope everyone will behave so you can get some sleep too.
Poor scovlings, I hope they will settle quickly and are not too badly hurt. Malley and Petunia will have a lot to tell them!

I can't believe it myself but after seven months I just clipped Felix wing this afternoon, just in time. It sounds cruel to clip, but it isn't considering that our ganders are monsters right now. I've been too soft and Felix was so sweet lately, I couldn't get it over my heart to do it and spoil our good contact.
I've separated the two couples two weeks ago when they started to get loud, no fighting yet, yesterday they were fine and this afternoon hell broke loose.
The guys were at eachother through the fence, beating their wings at eachother, they get into a trance and are determined to kill eachother.
I was cleaning up in the goose pens so I was there when Felix attacked Rudie through the fence, I ren up to him, cornered him and clipped his wing. He was so far gone he didn't even notice.
I'm so relieved! I still can't believe I really did it, but I've got the tips of the feathers for proof;-)
My biggest worry was that Felix would fly out of his pen in a rage and attack Hans (the white gander), or even worse, the ducks (they don't stand a chance against a bog furious goose).
So everyone is safe again on Foppe's Acre. I'll sleep a whole lot better from now on, untill August when they're done molting;-)

Have a good weekend everyone, I sure will:-) Good luck with the scovies!

I know it must be hard sometime but know that your posts bring joy to so many people. Just tonight I was so sad about missing my ducks but seeing Flapper and Lester and Olly brought a smile to my face. Good luck with the new Muscovies. I miss mine more than I ever would have imagined and dont know how anyone could abandon such sweet critters at a park
