Tif, a perfect memorial for all of us with remembering Flapper (not that we would forget him) would be the continuing of the French Fry bush/tree in your back yard. The other ducks, maybe the chikins would enjoy the french fries (even if it comes from McDonalds but they wouldn’t know it doesn’t really come from the tree in your backyard) and honor Flapper in that way.

I have commented about Flapper’s passing on this blog, his own website, his Facebook and am amazed at all the comments from around the world about the Flap. He touched so many people’s lives. LIke everyone else, I so hope you continue with your blog about your backyard buds. Those of us who can’t have backyards with ‘buds’ because we live in apartments or condo’s really look forward to your blogging every day. I know I do.

I got through my huge crying session yesterday over the loss of the Flap and told other friends of mine about him. Know that we are here with you as your friends and support you through this rough time.

I forget how I originally stumbled across your blog…but I fell instantly in love with Flapper. I went back and read all about his adventures from the very beginning, and although he wasn’t my very own dear sweet duck, I felt like he was.
It was very difficult for me to see his health decline…I knew eventually we would reach this sad outcome, but I wasn’t prepared for it yet. I prayed for a miracle to come and restore Flapper to full health, but God knows what is best.
I am so so sorry for your loss, but I am so so happy for this blog. Flapper and all the rest of the gang really brightened my days during difficult times.
I sincerely hope you do not stop the blog now that Flapper is gone. I would miss everything so much it would be like losing a family.
My heart aches for Flapper so much, but seeing these videos reminds me of the wonderful memories he has given us, and what a joy your blog has brought to so many lives.

Wow – thanks for the imagery, Tiff. It’s almost heart-breaking to watch…. to remembering how he was in love with your slippers, chasing Georgie around, being father of 3 kids, and do the “hunky-honk “. It brought tears to my eyes again.

I hope he is doing all these things again on the other side with his family and his best wingman, where the ground is covered with peas and the trees are ripe with french fries.

Our hearts are with you, Tiff, during the difficult time. Take care and give O’Malley a big kiss and hug for us. Thanks.
